Call For volunteers
We need volunteers to help with the ride. An organizational party for volunteers with free pizza and soft drinks (and cash bar bar for those wanting stronger drinks) will be held on Wednesday, August 13th from 6:00 PM till 7:30 PM at Black Rock Pizza, located in the Lincoln Mall Shopping Center, Urbana, near the mall’s southern entrance. There is lots of free parking.
All volunteer instructions will be given at the party. The various easy-to-do jobs involve setting up, staffing and dismantling the registration areas and and rest stops. Volunteers are needed starting around 6:00 AM on ride day. For those wanting to ride some, there will be plenty of time before of after your shift. Ride fees are waived for volunteers. Rest stop volunteers could also ride their bikes to their assignments.
Those unable to attend the party can also sign up to volunteer online, in which case an organizer will contact you with specifics.
