HB 4757 and SB 2311 bills passed out of committee today unanimously in both the House and Senate.

Both Senator Frerichs and Representative Jakobsson are in support of the bills; Rep. Jakobsson is now a cosponsor. If you live in another district please contact your representatives and ask them to support these bills. The federal funds need to be distributed to where they belong predictably and transparently through IDOT, so that cycling and pedestrian facilities that they're intended for actually happen.

"H.B. 4757/SB 2311, the Transportation Enhancements and Safe Routes to School Transparency Act, seeks to increase the accountability and effectiveness of two IDOT-administered federal programs important to bicycling."
