Join us 1 pm – 5 pm at Lake of the Woods, Elks Lake Pavilion for a mid-winter afternoon of riding, food, 2018 ride calendar discussion, club information, board games, and , of course, ice cream. Don’t let cabin fever overcome you. Let’s get together and have some fun. Road riders can start anytime. Off road group ride starts at 2 pm.
There will be the opportunity to ride your bike on road for a 10 mile loop out into the winter. The ten mile loop allows you to return to the warm pavilion when doing multiple loops, or to ride one loop with your kids. There will also be a Fat Bike/Mountain group ride in the Park. All will return to the cabin for hot soup and hot drinks in front of the fire.
Don’t want to ride in the cold? Then just come out for an afternoon of food, board games, and planning for the coming season. We will have reps from The Prairie Cycle Club, Kickapoo Mountain Bike Club, Champaign County Bikes, Second Wind Running Club, Champaign Ski & Adventure Club who will present you with additional recreational opportunities. We will distribute a schedule of events for 2018 and ask for your input to make them better.
